Our Story
The Herbal Alchemist Co. was not born from a business idea. It was born from pain, perseverance, and a promise I made to myself and to every woman who has ever been told that her only options are to lose weight or get on birth control.
At 23, I was diagnosed with PCOS — Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome — a form of insulin resistance that affects millions of women, and disproportionately Black women, yet remains one of the most under-researched conditions in women's health. I had already lost 50 pounds. I was doing everything "right." And still, a cyst the size of a grapefruit grew on my ovaries until it burst — leaving me in the most severe pain of my life.
In the aftermath, I found myself angry. Not just at the pain, but at the lack of options. Between getting sober and going through physical therapy to rehabilitate my body, I began asking a different question: What if western medicine and eastern medicine didn't have to be enemies?
That question changed everything.
Rooted in Tradition
My deep dive into herbalism began with two of the most important people in my life — my grandmother, and my sister Ashley, who first opened my eyes to the power of plants. What they passed down to me wasn't just knowledge. It was a legacy.
Sea moss became one of my first discoveries. Nutrient-dense, collagen-rich, and deeply nourishing, it helped me finally achieve clear skin and maintain my weight in a way that felt sustainable and natural. I watched women in my family struggle their whole lives with weight and health, with little to no medical support. I committed at a young age to being part of the solution.
I went on to earn my Bachelor's in Public Health. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree and an herbal certification — because I believe that the women who come to this brand deserve someone who has done the work, not just the passion.

The Herbal Alchemist Co. exists for everyone — but especially for Black and minority women who want to take back control of their health and return to their roots. The earth has given us everything we need. Many of these recipes are generational. I kept to that tradition.
Every product is handcrafted in small batches with care and intention. I source my herbs exclusively from Frontier Co-op — a trusted wholesale herbal company with decades of experience providing top-of-the-line ingredients — because what we put in and on our bodies matters greatly.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is made without purpose.
